LCIA publishes our quarterly print magazine, In Good Company, for the businesses of Louisiana. The April issue, our second issue of 2017, featured two LCI policyholders and put a focus on Louisiana businesses getting involved in their communities.
The first of the two Member Spotlights was on Omega Concierge, a New Orleans-based company that provides personal concierge and valet parking services to hospitals. We hear about the journey of owner Ben Zapata, and how he was determined to make his company succeed.
The second member spotlight is on Kitchen Kraft & Components of Rayne. Owner Harold Breaux started the custom cabinetry business in the late 1960s with his father and continues to run the business with his sons.
The "On the Issues” section discusses how local businesses can engage with their community. We learn about how customers value "corporate social responsibility,” and we learn how local businesses can invest in their communities by sourcing goods and services locally. We also hear about the benefits of getting involved in a local business community.
