As most of you know, every workers’ comp policy requires an annual audit. This is because all policies are written based on your estimated annual payroll. We perform the audit to verify your actual payroll for policy period, which is one year.
To make sure you’re prepared for your audit, we’re having a webinar on Wednesday, July 10 at 10:30 AM. During the webinar, I’ll go over the paperwork you’ll need including payroll records, tax forms, and other documents. I’ll also walk you through the process of meeting with your LCI auditor or completing your audit by mail, and which may be appropriate for your business.
By participating in our webinar, you’ll be prepared for your audit. Being prepared and having accurate, complete, and well-organized records will make your audit much easier. Your advance preparation will help the auditor quickly find what he or she needs and will require less of your time for questions and/or clarifications during the actual audit.
The very next day, Thursday, July 11, LCI’s Auditing Department will be at the Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM to meet with policyholders. Come complete your audit or simply bring your questions. You can stop by when you’d like, or you can call to make an appointment. We are committed to making sure you are informed about our audit process, and we look forward to your webinar participation and seeing you in person. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have at (985) 612-6734. For more information about the webinar, click here and for the open house, click here.
